Delivery Driver

We are looking for a motivated and committed individual who shares our company values of caring, working together and excellence! Our reputation has been built on the service we provide to our customers and the role of the delivery driver plays a pivotal part in maintaining our reputation.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting other departments as needed in a prompt, courteous and efficient manner
  • Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers or businesses in a safe, timely manner
  • Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied
  • Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles
  • Providing excellent customer service, answering questions and queries.

Key skills we will be looking for include:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and individually
  • Works in a professional and courteous manner
  • Basic computer skills
  • Problem solving skills

Applicants must hold a current clean driving license Ideally, Category C1+ or be willing to train to obtain. A good knowledge of Guernsey roads is also beneficial.

Plant Engineer

Are you an engineer with a passion for applying your knowledge and experience to a variety of mechanical equipment. If so, a rare opportunity has arisen at Project Hire for a Plant Engineer.

This role would be perfect for an individual with a passion for mechanics and problem solving who enjoys repairing and maintaining a wide variety of hire equipment and plant machinery.

Duties include the general servicing, testing, troubleshooting and repairs to both small and large plant hire equipment.

This is predominantly a workshop-based position with the occasional off-site visit/repair. The role also includes the supervision of a workshop assistant.

Previous experience of working with electrical, petrol, diesel and hydraulic equipment is essential for this role. This is a permanent position with excellent employee benefits such as private health care, pension, a generous annual leave allocation and a employee assistance programme.

Our standard working week is 39 hours, however, consideration will be given to reduced hours of between 30 and 39.
